Communication
Communication
Communication between home and school throughout the year is essential in order to ensure the best programming possible for your child. Northeastern’s student agenda is meant as an organizational tool for students. Parents are encouraged to initial their child’s student planner daily. Although it may often serve as a tool in the communication between home and school, parents/guardians are encouraged to communicate serious issues via telephone calls, email, or face-to-face meetings.
Parents are encouraged to keep in regular contact with the classroom teacher in order to proactively address any academic or behaviour concerns. In keeping with our belief that students will be more successful in school when their parents/guardians are involved, we will be scheduling student-led conferences following the release of the first progress report.
